Is there any exemption on Stamp Duty? The First Home Plus Scheme provides eligible purchasers with exemptions on transfer duty on homes valued up to $500,000 and concessions on duty for homes valued between $500,000 and $600,000. Eligible purchasers buying a vacant block of residential land to build their home on will pay no duty on vacant land valued up to $300,000, and will receive concessions on duty for vacant land valued between $300,000 and $450,000. How much is First Home Owner Grant? For contract date between 1/1/2010 to 30/6/2010, if buying Established Home, first home buyers will receive $7000; if buying New Home, first home buyers will receive $10,000. The grant is only payable per eligible transaction (contract) regardless of the number of eligible applicants involved in the transaction. How much is the First Home Owner Cap? From 1 January 2010, a $750,000 cap apply to all applications where the commencement date of the eligible transaction is on or after 1 January 2010.
